Frequently Asked Questions

0 itemsWelcome to Aviary Ghost

Aviary Ghost Taping Policy Audience taping is permitted at all Aviary Ghost shows. Soundboard patches are not guaranteed, but may be available depending on the venue and performance. Please bring your own equipment, cables, and more importantly power. Be prepared for everything and please stay out of the way of venue staff, Aviary Ghost's management, and the members of the audience. Video taping is permitted with advance permission from the band or its management. When Aviary Ghost is performing at a festival or other event featuring multiple bands, that particular event's policy may override our customary taping policy. When Aviary Ghost is opening for another artist, that particular artist's policy may override the customary taping policy. All taping must be for personal use only, which may include trading (via analog or digital tape, CD, or digital file transfer). Recordings may be traded only for an equivalent amount of similar media (cassettes or CDs, pre-recorded or blank). Regardless of any expenses incurred, no money may ever be exchanged as part of a trade; however, stamped, self-addressed envelopes may be included with blank media. The enjoyment of the audience in attendance at a concert always takes precedence over recording efforts. This means that at no time should tapers ever require other patrons to be quiet, to move, or otherwise interfere with their enjoyment of the show. If there is ever any question concerning the permission of taping a live show, checking with one of the band members prior to showtime should clear up any misunderstandings.

Rights

On 9/20/07 we received the following email granting permission:

I would like to add my band, Avairy Ghost, to the LMA. I have drafted
a taping policy, which is pasted below. Also, I give permission for
derivative files to be available for download/streaming as well.

I assume that we can use "ag" or "aghost" for our band prefix. Let me
know if this is a problem.

Thanks for all your help!
